Information

Designed by internationally renowned Cesar Pelli, Bank of America Corporate Center is one of the tallest buildings in the Southeast rising 871 feet into the sky and making it the focal point of Charlotte's skyline.

The Corporate Center is located at the corner of Trade and Tryon Streets, known locally as "The Square," which are the historic crossroads of the city and the site of its founding more than 250 years ago. Planning for the Corporate Center began in 1987; construction was complete in 1992.

The Corporate Center consists of four components: the Office Tower, Founders Hall, The N.C. Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, and the Parking Garage. Bank of America Corporate Center has approximately 1,203,000 rentable square feet of office and retail space with a variety of well-designed floor plans. Twelve corner offices are located on each floor with nine-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Office Tower's main lobby ceiling is 36 feet high while marble from Spain, Italy, France, Turkey and the U.S. was used for the floors, walls and columns. Three frescoes by artist Ben Long were specially commissioned for the Corporate Center. Each fresco measures 23 x 18 feet, the largest pieces of Ben Long's career at the time.

State-of-the-art cameras, intercoms and card access systems, along with 24-hour a day, 7 day a week, manned security provide Tenants of the Corporate Center with up-to-date protection.

The entire Corporate Center facility has 39 high-speed, state-of-the-art elevators and two escalators providing convenient movement within the Office Tower and easy access to the parking garage facility, Founders Hall and the sky bridges to the Hearst Tower and the Overstreet walkway system.

Founders Hall is a spectacular three-story winter garden enclosed by a soaring atrium, which rises over 100 feet at its center and links the Office Tower with the Retail Shops and the N.C. Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. It features shopping, dining, and a host of other services. Designed as a grand public arena and a world-class retail center, Founders Hall is available to the public for special events and performances. Call the Founders Hall Event Line at 704-714-8649 for facility rental and event information.

Distinctive dining is also available in Founders Hall with Spratt's Kitchen and Market, both operated by the nationally known Levy Restaurants of Chicago. Spratt's Kitchen and Market offers speedy service and fresh, imaginatively prepared items for breakfast, lunch or a snack, including carved deli meats, a fresh salad bar and home-style desserts.   Taverna 100 and Sonoma Modern American Cuisine, both owned and operated by Pierre Bader.  Taverna 100 is Mediterranean inspired cuisine while Sonoma Modern American Cuisine is just as it sounds, a modern take on Californian style American cuisine.

Founders Hall also plays host to a number of retailers, including a florist, news stand, hair salon, camera and photo finishing store, men's and women's clothing stores, book store, coffee shop, print shop, dry cleaner, and much more. The Crown Athletic Club can be found on the third level of Founders Hall and is an 18,000 square foot premier executive health facility which offers state-of-the-art equipment, elegant locker rooms and a health cafe.

The N.C. Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is directly accessible to the Office Tower lobby and Founders Hall and offers a wide variety of cultural and entertainment activities including music, opera, dance and theatrical performances. It plays host to two theatres: the 2,200 seat Belk Theatre and the 450 seat Booth Playhouse.
